New Jeep EVs
In the coming year, the Jeep brand is set to enter the EV market with its first fully-electric SUV. Jeep's parent company announced in March that it will release the Jeep EV in 2023. Early speculation is the first model will be an electrified version of the Jeep Compass. Few details have been released so far, but because it will be a Jeep, you can expect it to bring all the same capability and features you have come to expect from the brand. This comes on the heels of Jeep welcoming the Wrangler EV to the roster in 2023. Jeep also plans to unveil a "family Lifestyle SUV" as well.
Chrysler
Chrysler is also getting into the electric vehicle game. It has leaned toward alternatives with the Chrysler Pacifica, the only plug-in hybrid minivan available for Lafayette drivers in recent years. Chrysler promises to expand the options for Kokomo drivers by adding what it calls a "Lifestyle Family Car" in 2025.
Dodge Muscles Up
Dodge is redefining what it means to go electric in 2023. Dodge is set to introduce what it calls eMuscle EV cars. This lineup will replace the legendary Hellcat powertrain. But it won't give up an ounce of horsepower while still getting exceptional efficiency, with expectations ranging from 300-to-500 miles of driving range.
Ram Goes EV
The trucks aren't excluded from the transformation, as Ram has two models anticipating the innovative updates. Ram expects to release an electric version of the iconic Ram 1500 sometime in 2023. Ram promises this truck will surpass all competitors currently on the market in terms of range, towing, and charging times.
The move toward electric vehicles represents a shift by the brand's parent company, Stellantis, to reduce its carbon footprint and other services. They call this initiative "Dare Forward 2030." Expect more than 100 advanced and innovative models to make their debut in the next seven years.
